Y’all ready for some fat blasting?
So, let me give you guys a little background. I have been obese most of my life. From when I was six years old, and 120 lbs, to eighth grade when I weighed in at 300 lbs, I have been a big guy ALL of my life. But I wasn’t lazy. I played football, wrestled, and played baseball a couple years (Though I hate baseball, so it didn’t last too long). I was NOT your stereotypical fat and lazy person.
I worked for two years in a warehouse, working with metal roofing components and stacks of razor sharp sheet metal. At 300 lbs, I was climbing up the side of shelving units that went to the ceiling! But the work was mostly seasonal. Then I became a CNA at a Mental Hospital here in Washington, which in all honesty is a WAY harder job than being a warehouse worker. I LOVED working with people, and LOVED my job. I never faced the same situation two days in a row, and it kept me on my toes! Then I was injured by a patient, and things went down hill.
In the past couple of years, my past has come back to haunt me. Severe back pain, that almost led to an opiate addiction, leg pain and muscle spasms, inability to get around without losing my breath, things of this nature.
I smoked, from when I was seven until just this past year. Almost a pack and a half a day of cigarettes. Greatest thing I ever did was quit.
I’ve also quit drinking soda, something I used to feel I would be unable to survive without. Up until this past year, I used to drink a 2 liter bottle of Mountain Dew EVERY day, without fail! What a horrible habit that was! You know those things they talk about regretting in life? Mine is that I didn’t start on these problems sooner.
And now, I’m continuing my weight loss journey, hoping to lose at least another 200 lbs. Along the way I’ll be sharing tips and tricks that I learn, as well as sharing my favorite healthy foods. I’ll also try to include the equipment I’m using. Hopefully sometime in the future, another man (or woman) like me can use it to lose the weight they want to.
Either way, I hope you all stick with me on this journey, it’s going to be a long uphill battle, but I just have too much to live for.
Oh, and I want to apologize to anyone that has sent me an e-mail back in the past, if I never replied to you it’s because the e-mail said, “DO NOT REPLY” so I assumed I couldn’t >.> Learned that lesson yesterday. And yes, I know I can be such a dork sometimes.
CHIA SEEDS
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Chia? You mean like the Chia pets? YES! Exactly the same product! Who’d of known those little seeds for your pet were healthy as could be for you? Need some proof?

Why chia seeds rock:
A complete protein! If you’re a vegetarian, which I am not, you’ll LOVE chia seeds for it’s protein content. Contains full levels of ALL proteins your body needs.
Full of Omega Three Fatty Acids! You know, the healthy kind you normally get from fish? This is for people like me who aren’t the biggest fish fans and hate taking capsules the size of a frickin’ house. Get all that you need in a one ounce serving!
High in carbs, low in sugar! I know, that sounds like a contradiction. How can something be high in carbs, but low in sugar? Easy, have 11 of the 12 grams of carbs be fiber! Too many people these days are not eating enough fiber. This comes from the medical side, all of you people are full of crap. I mean literally, and these little suckers chocked full of that fiber will blast you out!
Also a good source of Calcium! Yeah, enough said.
They swell! Chia seeds have almost no taste. In all honesty, I compare them to eating sesame seeds for taste. That is until you add them to something. Then the magic of the chia seed happens and it absorbs the taste of whatever you put it in. I use mine in smoothies as a thickener, or in a poor man’s mocha to extend that rich creamy taste, but in a healthy way. (Recipes below)
So as you can see, these little buggers are fanfreakingtastic, and I can’t stop telling everyone about them! Now comes the fun part, the recipes. The most amazing thing about these bad boys is, they’re so easy to use!
Recipes:
Smoothy
10 oz your favorite fruit (I use a frozen Fruit Medley from Safeway, because I’m poor and I like variety)
5 oz water
3 Tbsp of chia seeds
A blender
This recipe is simple, put your fruit and water into the blender, blend those suckers up. Add your chia seeds, be sure to push them below the surface of your fruit and blend again. Let sit for a couple minutes, then enjoy the sweet goodness that is a kick ass energy drink. Forget the Guarana and added sugars of an energy drink, I’ll stick to nature’s candy and a smattering of rich protein.
Poor Man’s Mocha (My guilty pleasure)
1 cup coffee
2 Tbsp hot chocolate
cream to preference
3 Tbsp chia seeds
Another simple recipe. Make your coffee as you normally would, substituting any sugar with hot chocolate mix. Add cream to preference, then add the chia seeds. Be sure to stir them up well! Let sit for 3-5 minutes.
The cons to Chia Seeds:
I LOVE these little buggers, but there are some down sides to them.
Get stuck in teeth! I hope you’re handy with a toothpick, because these things get stuck in teeth sometimes. Not painful or anything like that, just an annoyance.
Texture throws some people off! I compare the texture to the little frog eyes in Tapioca pudding. It’s just a texture that some people don’t like.
Best place to buy:
Walmart.com offers the best deals on Chia Seeds, which fills me with conflict because I’m the guy who hates walmart. Bob’s Red Mill is the brand I use the most, as usually it is the cheapest. Remember folks, I am poor here.
And I’ve been slacking……
Yep, this was done DAYS ago, but I’ve been spending my time slacking. So if you’re a fan of Sara, it’s not her fault, blame it on the man! Anyways, here’s the star of the show! RAW
Same quad pairing as last game, I might add two new ones sometime during the season, I’ve the beads but lack the cord.
Things were rushed game day, did manage to come up with this design featuring all three of the team’s colors.
I should have used green to cover the whole nail, but wanted the green to be darker so I used blue. :p Two layers of Rimmel’s 60 Seconds Vinyl Shine in Denim Dreams.
I then used two of Pure Ice’s Lucky Charming, splitting the nail laterally. Lastly I then applied two coats of Sally Hansen Chrome Nail Makeup in Titanium Chrome for a bold twist on the french manicure.
Here’s a close up of the design, I don’t use tape or anything to make perfect lines, everything posted is freehand. Enjoy!
Sara’s weekly whenever! I made her procrastinate on it.
Been trying to think of what I’m going to do, now that I’ve posted my book up. Probably keep going on the GTA story here, and maybe introduce a health conscious thing. I mean, I have lost 110 lbs in just a year. But today isn’t about me, it’s Sara’s Weekly Whatever! I’ll move to the side, so the star can enter stage left.
I’m Far, far from being a ‘star’. I’m just a person, no need to glorify what isn’t there.(She’s blinded and doesn’t see it!)
I was inspired by my socks. They’re cheetah print over neon green, pink, and blue.
I paired them and the bracelets with a long sleeved chartreuse green shirt and black slacks.
All my nails are painted with three coats of NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Broadway Burgundy Frost
I was bored and started to play around with a blue color called Candid Cameron, its Nicole by Opi Modern Family Collection. I used Supershine Naturistics in Peach Bum for the throat of the flower. For the leaf and stem, I used two greens that I mixed.

I used Hard Candy’s Fiberized Lash Weave Mascara in Lush
Green tinting my eyebrows for a subtle look and on my eyelashes. Part below eyebrow I layered the dark moss green over the pale green,both found in Rimmel’s Glam’eyes: Tempting. Eyelid: colored whole area with Maybelline Roller color in Skate ‘Til Midnight. Its a deep dark blue powder.I then applied over that in Covergirl’s Aqua Paradise. I repeated the same lining the bottom part. Lips: light use of Milani’s Black Cherry lipstick, I then applied a light layer of Covergirl’s Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers Blackberry Splash.
These four I made last season, wore them most games, plan to keep wearing them for the rest of this season, might make more to add.
First used two layers of Pure Ice’s Lucky Charming over full nail, I then applied two layers of Rimmel’s 60 Seconds Vinyl Shine :Denim Dreams on the tips. The colors are a very close match to the Seahawks’ colors.

Been a tiring day today. Anyways, no new GTA story for you guys, been working hard to clean up this story for publishers. Almost have the first book in the trilogy done! Anyways, I hope you all enjoy, and remember, all feedback is welcome!
Lov lay on the bed, attempting to sleep and get some reprieve from the sounds of a closed in city. The whole room buzzed with it, and the sounds of marching had grown louder. Lov tossed and turned, twisting this way and that, but was unable to fall asleep. Still, it was comfy in this bed.
Lov felt something land on the mattress next to him, something small. He turned, looking to find what ever it was, and spotted a fairy, this one surrounded in a soft yellow light.
“I heard what your grandfather said.” She said, walking across the sheet to Lov. “I turned my glow down as much as I could. I remember when Tyrosh went through this, maybe a hundred years ago.” Missy shook her head in pity. “I hope you don’t suffer as much as she did. She was a hatchling going through this, took Tyrosh a whole year to get used to the world outside the nesting cave.”
“Are you from my grandfather?” Lov asked the fairy. “If you are, where’s Tinkle? She’s the one that usually brings me Tryton’s messages.”
“I’m Missy, and yes, I work with your grandfather. But I was sent here to keep an eye on Nord, he may have a funny way of showing it, but that giant idiot is definitely one of Tryton’s favorites.” She walked across the bed and sat a comfortable seeing distance from Lov. He loved how her dress was made from the scales of a pine cone. It reminded him of home. “So, young dragon, tell me what ails you, and I will do what I can to help.”
“I just want some relief from my grandfather opening my senses.” He burrowed the side of his head deeper into the pillow. “I mean, I can hear a fly fart in the next room!”
Missy laughed a hearty laugh. “Oops, I hope that wasn’t too loud for you.” She said, as Lov winced with the sound.
“It’s okay, just sit here and talk to me for a bit.” He carefully sat up, attempting not to disturb his new friend. “Just sit here and talk to me, your voice doesn’t boom like Nord’s. I love my uncle, but he has no idea what I’m going through.”
“Okay, just talk and I’ll listen.”
Lov opened his mouth to speak, then cocked his head to the side, as if he were listening. “What’s that?” The young man asked, an intense look of concentration upon his face.
Missy shook her head and gave Lov a questioning look. “What’s what? You’re not going insane already are you?” She backed away slowly from Lov, her arms outstretched as if to push him away. “Wait, no, I don’t sense your dragonhunger, or the fear.” She flew up and around to stand on his shoulders. “What are you hearing?” She asked impatiently.
“It’s like a hissing and grinding. It’s coming from that direction.” Lov pointed towards the ceiling in a corner of the room. Missy looked in the direction he pointed, and thought where that might be in this immense city. She was small, and had snuck around a lot of the lower levels, including the birthing chambers, where eggs were hatched. Lov had pointed towards the merchant district, but the merchant district was in a separate chamber from the rest of the hive. Whatever was coming wasn’t from the annunaki.
“Stay here, don’t move.” She started to fly from the room.
Lov snatched her from the air, not realizing what he was doing until he did it. Startled, he released the fairy, and muttered out a, “Sorry.” Looking away from her with shame.
“Hoo boy.” She glared at him, then softened her look before saying, “You need to get a hand on that dragonhunger of yours. kid, before it takes control of you.” She turned and shot from the room.
Nord leaned against the statue in front of the Temple of Many Faiths, eyes glued to the door, looking for Sanche. He couldn’t believe that an elf like Sanche, so stoic and honorable a presence in elven society, was in a temple in grief. Sanche had been the instructor who pushed Nord the hardest, always getting on him for sloppiness and general laziness, was taking a vacation when the elven people needed him most.
He heard the rustle of shoes on the stone floor, and turned and slapped Jaxon, lightly, across the face. “Where have you been?” Nord asked anxiously. “I thought you were joking about the priests in there, but two of them threw me out on my arse.” Jaxon laughed as Nord rubbed his shoulder. “It’s not funny! I landed funny, now my arm tingles.”
Jaxon stifled his laughter and asked. “You want me to fix it?” An evil smirk replaced the laughter.
“No, no, I think I’m good.” Nord replied, moving away from Jaxon, only Dalanar knew what the halfling would do.
Jaxon shook his head. “Some fearless leader you are.” He turned and looked down the road, back the way he had come, and thought of how much gold he had just spent. As he was contemplating his trader nature, he noticed a change in the air. A stillness settled over the cavern, sending a chill down his spine. He watched as Missy, a yellow streak behind her, shot past him yelling her loudest. “NE-MEZ-IR!”
Nearby annunaki all looked around, most softly buzzing. “Nemezir.” Before taking off after the fairy. Nord and Jaxon watched stunned as hundreds and hundreds of annunaki poured after Missy. “Maybe we should check that out.” Nord suggested, running before he even finished.
Jaxon shouted from behind. “Hey, wait up!” But Nord ignored him, pushing himself to keep up with the annunaki. They may be shorter than the elven giant but they were quicker!
Nord turned past a large stalagmite and rounded a corner to see a giant worm, swarmed over with annunaki. They were stabbing and slicing into the worm as it tried to take a bite from one of the stalagmite light post, they stabbed and slashed at the beast in an attempt to stop its carnage. It reared up shaking its head, sending warriors flying in all directions. Green liquid splattered in drops around Nord, but none hit him. He counted his blessings when he saw the liquid begin to bubble and smoke. The smoke was terrifying, thick and yellow. And the smells induced nausea.
Nord ran back around the corner and peeked around the building. The thing opened its mouth, like a crocodile’s. Green fumes curled around the opening as it roared, spraying the annunaki trying to attack it. The ones that were hit head on fell to the ground, their chitin melting off their bodies, exposing the meat below.
The remaining annunaki took up a battle cry, the entire chamber seemed to buzz with it. “Tchltal Nemezir!” Nord could only assume it meant kill the enemy.
Jaxon came running up behind Nord, heaving for breath. “Don’t… you… ever… take off… like… that again.” He huffed out, before collapsing against the wall.
Nord shook his head at his friend. “Someone’s out of shape.”
Jaxon waved the comment away, sucking in air he managed to wheeze out a question. “Now what’s all the commotion about?” Gesturing to the annunaki who continued to stream by.
Nord pointed around the corner. Jaxon stuck his head out, just in time to see the beast toss its head again, sending warriors and acid flying, causing the rocks to sizzle. The worm took off down the street, dragging the annunaki with it.
Nord heard Missy scream above the battle noise. “It’s heading for the temple! Stop it before it gets there!”
The worm seemed to forget the ant beings, stopping periodically in its reign of terror to take bites from the rock formations that filled the cavern.
Jaxon and Nord chased after the beast, looking to lend a helping hand, but whenever they reached the back of the annunaki battle line, the rear guard would push them away saying, “This is none of your concern.” Before turning back to see what the worm was up to now. Periodically, it would shake it’s head to clear it of the ant like beings, splattering acid throughout the cave.
Entire sides of buildings melted away, exposing the interior rooms, and causing more annunaki to pour over the worm. A loud crack filled the chamber, and Jaxon watched in disbelief as a stalactite dropped from the ceiling. Annunaki scattered as the rock split the creature in half. He let out a low moan, and watched as the stone then fell, crushing the thing’s back end. Hundreds of annunaki had still been swarming the beast when it happened. Their blue green blood mixed with the purple of the worms, covering a whole intersection of the street. The head of the worm let out a loud roar, before twisting and turning to disappear into the hole it had entered from. “Oh, dragons above, that was something you don’t see everyday.” Jaxon said as thousands of annunaki tried to force their way into the tunnel and chase the beast down.
“Thank you!” Missy said cheerfully, splattered in a thick purplish stinky goo. “I must admit, that was the funnest battle I’ve been in a long time.” She flew over to Jaxon and wiped the stinky purple goo from her knife onto his collar. “Let’s get back to the inn. The annunaki wouldn’t let you help anyways. ‘Not enough coordination to work with us’ they said. Guess that’s why I managed to rip out the thing’s spleen.” She said gleefully, holding up an organ as large as she was.
“Worms don’t have spleens.” Nord said sarcastically. “It must be the gizzard.”
“Whatever, we need to go check up on Lov.” She said, flying towards The Purple Mushroom.
“Lov? Aren’t we worried about Sanche anymore?” Nord asked, confused. ‘And how did you get your weapon?”
“I’m a fairy, you think I wouldn’t use my magic to keep my weapon? And of course we are, why do you think I had you watching the temple while he was inside meditating?” She sped up a little, making Nord speed up, and causing Jaxon to groan.

So, My wife was talking to me about making this a bi-weekly thing. She’s a huge Seahawk fan, like me, and she’s been thinking about adding a gameday post. Which is hilarious to me, since I had to fight her to get the first one up >.>
Yes, he did have to persistently fight and argue with me on numerous occasions spanning weeks.I’m a Very stubborn,quiet,secretive individual, preferring privacy over attention, except when certain sports are in session, them I’m loud as fuck, just like any other fan. I create a vast array of art and fashion items. From mixing my own colors of nail polish and other paints,fabricating wire trees, jewelry,and hair stuff to customizing and sewing clothes. I also draw, write poetry when the mood finds me….occasionally i’ll bake and decorate cakes, other frosted goodies.
Bracelets are a motley of glass, metal, pearls, and one with real amethyst chips.
Purple hibiscus flowers with yellow centers…bought these at the Puyallup Fair along with another pair of earrings that I’ll show at a later date. These ones made me think of University of Washington. They’re the school colors there and also my grade school’s. Would have bought a pair of red ones for Washington State University, but none were available.
I was inspired by nails seen during fashion week on various sites. This pattern was shown, none used these colors, most featured neutrals or bare looks when not metallic. The metallic lavender is Pure Ice’s New Lilac. Used two coats for desired intensity on full nail. I then applied my favorite nail color, a very deep green, almost black with tiny light green glitter flecks to half of each nail, also two coats. The dark green is Revlon Colorstay’s Rain Forest. All nail polish i use, come off easily with remover. I’m not one for tinfoil wrapped fingers, so i seldom use glitter polishes or other time consuming embellishments.
