Why I love, and yet hate, my spiral notebook.

I love my spiral notebook. There are many reasons why. No battery to die. I don’t have to turn it on. And the greatest, even if it breaks you can fix it with tape.

But there are some negatives, like needing a seperate light source, writers cramp, or even getting a pen stuck in the binding.

To my mind nothing compares for begining a book. Character maps and timelines seem to come together much easier if I write them by hand. But I couldn’t imagine living in Mark Twains time, writing manuscripts on unlined paper. Especially not with my chicken scratch.

I am young though, I grew up in the rise of the computer. I’m the kid that taught teachers how to use the internet. So maybe I’m just spoiled, and the stories would’ve come anyways. But I do know the work would be harder without my spiral notebook.

Sara should have another post up this week. Poor woman hasn’t been feeling well the past week, but I’m hoping she can shake it off. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Interesting territory ahead….

So I’ve started a new project in a completely different genre. I’ve decided to take a spin at the survivor horror aspect. Not necessarily zombies, but some catastrophic disease or calamity. Sounds like fun. My friend did give me a badass idea though, if I go zombie apocolypse style.

Sara’s still not satisfied with how her nails look, so she may not put a post up this week. Anyways, I wish you all a beautiful day and a fruitful week!

P.S. Forgot to thank the other two people who bought books. Just pushing for a last edit of the third book, then I’ll be getting them all formatted for the premium catalog. So look for the E-book of the complete collection next month. Going to try and convince Sara to let me use a picture she drew as the cover. Leave comments to help me encourag her

Sara’s Weekly Whatever! Coffee anthem addition!

So I decided to steal the show a bit this week, figure I haven’t put much up in awhile. A lot of that really does have to do with not having my own pc anymore. You never realize how much you miss it until you go to Google something, and you can’t!! But I digress, here’s a little something I wrote after watching Sara stumble around first thing in the morning. I call it my Coffee Anthem.

I haven’t had my coffee, you can go and fuck yourself.

I haven’t had any coffee, you need to speak to someone else!

I can tell already that you just don’t understand.

There is a thing called coffee, and that’s what I demand!

It doesn’t matter if you’re poor, or if you come from wealth.

I don’t care who you are, you can go and fuck yourself.

Whether you are children, even if you’re my own,

You better watch your damned step, or I’ll strip flesh from your bone.

Do not cry, and do not whine, everything will be just fine.

You don’t have anything else to fear, because the coffee is here.

Thank you, thank you /bow. And now for Sara’s Weekly Whatever!

Three coats of L.A.Colors Color Craze Nail Polish in Live on full length of all nails.

I then painted three coats of Revlon’s Chameleon over the silver leaving a small half moon shape at cuticles. After allowing nails to dry, I used the tip of the nail polish brushes to make small dots for leaves with Sinful Colors nail colors in Last Chance,(dark emerald green) New York Color Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Plumberry Plaza & Broadway Burgundy Frost.

Here’s a closer look.

Game day

Started off with three coats of L.A. Colors Color Craze Nail Polish in Live. Then I decided to do a half moon accent at base of cuticles with Pure Ice’s Lucky Charming. Finished today’s gameday look with a diagonal burst of two layers of L.A. Colors Color Craze in Wired.

So there you are folks, stay tuned for more! Hopefully sometime this week, we’ll be able to quit stealing other peoples PCs! You all have a wonderful day!

Gotta love it when inspiration hits. Stole the computer edition!

Went and spent time with the family for a few days. Was nice to see them, first time in almost a year. My 10 year old niece is getting so big! It’s amazing what kinds of things strike you after spending some time with family. I have a new show to watch, one I never would have watched without them pointing it out. It’s called Castle, and I love it because if you’re a Firefly nerd, as I am, you see how the two shows connect. There’s even a series of books written off the show, and that made me laugh. So, after watching the food for thought from this new background buzz, I decided to write a prequel to the trilogy I’ve already written.

I’ve also had to learn to deal with my arch nemesis, the notebook. Damned things always fall apart on me. But while it may lack the latest app, it does make up for it in nostalgia. Staring up at my teachers while they come and try to inspect my work. Glaring back up at them defiantly. She was an older woman, and she would give me one of the looks that said, “You know, back in my day I’d of wiped that silly grin off your face.” I probably would have deserved it, I was a child. But I was also raised to demand respect from those that demand respect from me.

Back to the inspiration. I’ve decided to go back and write the story of Nord and Amon, leading all the way back to the end of the dragon wars. I have a host of new characters, and you’ll finally see the Titans as the helpers they were meant to be. I’ve also been editing the hell out of my last book, I think I’m going to have to pay someone to edit it for Smashwords. If you want to post your book to more than just amazon, I do suggest putting it on there. Once you pass their rigamoral, they post it to as many shops as Amazon, easy.

And it looks like http://www.Goodguidelife.com is going to be the cheapest one to go with to get a good formatting of my book. At $35 it’s cheaper than anywhere else I asked by a good 20 dollars. Anyways, here’s a taste of what the Titans used to say as they marched across the lands, helping the people and protecting them from savages.

They come, they come

To seduce you

Lure you in with Treasure

Change their shape to trick you

And lure you to your death.

Show you gold and riches

Make you drool with greed.

Elegant and beautiful

But deadly as could be.

They’ll warp the ground beneath you

Drag you through the earth.

There is no way to fight them,

Their massive power surge.

But never fear my little friends!

For you are safe in here

Dalanar will protect you

Inside his temple body here

That he sacrificed himself to give

A shield surrounds and protects us

Within these gentle walls.

Unable to enter they will punish the world

That’s why we must leave.

So give thanks and never forget

The wyrms, they still survive.

Be grateful as you leave for battle

As you have a home to return

So search out those in need

Remember, defend, protect, and Ward.

Let me know what you think, I know the cadence is off to be a song, but it’s more an oration. Like a constant warning.
