#RileyAmosReviews, the first ARC on the blog. Check out the new release on 4/7/2015!

Don’t Stay up Late by R.L. Stine (I used to love goosebumps when I was in Elementary)

LOVE  LOVE LOVE this book.  How many ways can I say it?  I enjoy R. L. Stine and I have been a HUGE fan since I was much younger.  I grew up reading the fear street books and I’m so glad to have them back.  This book was great it was hard to put down.  I am never surprised to see how R. L. Stine get the characters in his book back to fear street every time.  I could read this author all day!  Wow I’m so glad these books are back and they have only got better!  Thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin’s press for sharing this wonderful gift with me.  5/5

So there you have it folks, the Alysia bomb has been dropped for the day! Remember, if you’d like to be featured in either the #SupportIndieAuthors series or the #RileyAmosReviews series, drop me a line at RileyAmosReviews(at)gmail(.)com

And don’t forget to check out Everyone Dies At The End on Bigworldnetwork!

#RileyAmosReviews, full of awesomeness edition, part 4!

Fifteen , by Jen Estes

This book is very good.  In this book, a 15 years old girl falls asleep and then she is in her 30 year old body.  This author did a great job with this book.  I was mesmerized!  I was not sure what was going to happen next or what happened to the town in this book.  So many questions this book start you off with and then hands you many answers along the way.  * I received this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review*    5/5

#RileyAmosReviews, full of awesomeness edition, part 3!

The Stonegate Sword , by Harry James Fox

This was a very different book.  I like the idea very much.  I liked the Christian-oriented thriller in the pages.  People in this book retreated to a medieval mindset and travel by horses and wagons instead of what we use today cars, planes, and trains.  I was captivated through out this book.  * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*  4/5

#RileyAmosReviews, full of awesomeness edition, part 2!

Between by Dora Hilburn

I enjoyed this book very much.  The main character, Anna, fell in love with a ghost.  It was a good ghost story for me but I was hoping for a better ending.  It wasn’t a bad ending but I wanted a happy ever after for some reason.  I liked the book anyway.  * I received this book from Netgalley and Rainbow Books, Inc. in exchange for an honest review* 4/5

So I started trying to put together a book trailer…

…for Everyone Dies At The End. Anyone know where I can get some free creepy background music, so it’s not all silent?

The more I listen to the audio, and read the editing changes Amanda and the other editors have me making, the more in love I’m falling with this story. I mean, I thought it was good before, but now it’s starting to sound professional. As a man who’s always been a labor kind of guy, that’s awesome.

I love watching my words go from the rough shape they’re in to being able to send chills up people’s spines. (That was Sara’s first reaction the first time she heard the audio.) I just can’t thank the people at BigWorldNetwork enough of a shout out. (You guys should really check out some of the other series here. One, Lineage, received a 5 star review from our very own Alysia, and I’m looking forward to getting to it on the pile. They even cover younger audiences, offering everything from superheroes to magic/comedy. The audio versions rule by the way, it will make it easier to get through some of them when I finally whittle my pile down some more x D)  They’ve been awesome.

Also, the #SupportIndieAuthors (One of these days, I need to do a post about the definition of an indie author. My own interpretation of it is changing as time goes on, and I learn more about how publishing works now a days.) board on Goodreads is nearing 1,000 members, and we were trying to think of ideas to celebrate when we do. I said a pizza party, but Ann pointed out that would be a whole lot of pies. Still, I’m sure we’ll figure something out. Maybe they’ll have a chance to win a feature on either hers or my blog. Just a thought.

And today is the first day I woke up without reviews from Alysia. Either she’s getting slammed at work, or even her brain can only hold so much information before it needs a minute to reset. Either way, we hope she’s doing alright.

So that’s it for today, a nice, lazy, chill ax day, and I needed one. Hope you all have a wonderful night!

Oh, I lied. I decided to share a nice recipe with you guys. Good healthy dinner for you to enjoy.

2 chicken breasts, browned

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

6 cups mixed beans (My mix varies depending on the day.)

1/4 cup Dark Brown sugar (I know, sugar is the enemy, but moderation is the key!)

1/2 tsp crushed red peppers, cayenne peppers, black pepper, turmeric, parsley, and paprika

Last, one serving of chicken boullion

Place everything in a crockpot, cover with enough water to just cover all of it, and set it to low for a few hours.(Shorter time if you soak the beans overnight.)

It’s slightly salty, slightly sweet, and full of fiber and protein. Very low fat. Put it on some brown rice, sprinkle on a touch of cheese, and you have yourself a healthy meal.
