Thanking those who supported indie authors while I was being busy as a bestman! #RRBC #IARTG #IAN1 #SUPPORTINDIEAUTHORS

I want to take the time to thank the people that stopped by the site, as well as those of you on twitter who kept retweeting for me, for doing that. I should be back to normal after today, unless I have another surprise wedding thrown on us!

So, being a best man/wedding photographer is a lot of work. I was going to post a bunch of pictures of my best friend and his beautiful new bride, but I was told I would be hurt if I did >.> Anyways, he married a wonderful woman from Congo, and watching their traditions and how they hold marriage ceremonies was something awesome to behold. A truly memorable experience that I’ll never forget! I hope they have many long and happiness filled years together.

But I’m not going to leave you guys imageless, I might not be able to show you guys pictures of the new couple, but I can share with you the beautiful bouquet they had for her.

The Adventure Kids and The Abandoned Mine by P.W. Lawrence

I enjoyed this quick read.  This book was a great short adventure with some new friends. The story starts with a couple friends hanging out in a town with out much to do for kids.  They notice a family moving into the neighborhood and a girl both of their ages is in this family.  They decide to show her around town and show her the old mine in town.  Not a great idea when you get lost. To was a fun adventure for me.  * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*  4/5

Beyond the Ashes by H.L. Baker

This book was a bit slow for me. It seemed a little wordy for me in places but I liked the idea of the book. The story did keep me guessing once it got moving better and I enjoyed trying to figure out what will happen next. I was not very scared, I have watched worse movies that never scare me. I would read something from this author again because I always like to read a few things from one author before I decide to keep reading their books or not and this is the first thing I read by H.L. Baker. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*  3/5

Mary Hades: Beginnings by Sarah Dalton

This was a set I enjoyed.  I love a good mystery and this book gave me this.  I enjoyed the authors introduction in to each character. Sarah gave us good details!  This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I would be happy to read the next book.  *I received this set from the author through a LibraryThing giveaway in exchange for an honest review*  4/5

Passionate Crusaders: How Members of the U.S. War Refugee Board Saved Jews and Altered American Foreign Policy during World War II —by Heather Voight

I, myself, do not follow the government issues very much.  I found this book to be a captivating account of the events that created the Board and also the effectiveness of the Board in trying to save Jewish lives. The author allows the reader to come to their own conclusions and gives a detailed and well-researched account of the WRB. We do not learn from our mistakes. You are interested in WWII or in history in general you should check out this book. I am not big into history and this book caught my attention and kept me wanting to read more.  * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
