Day 68 of 90: The people in our lives #ASMSG #IARTG #IAN1 #SupportIndieAuthors

It’s amazing how a simple visit from a friend can shape our day. I woke up, grumpy and in pain, and I couldn’t shake the feeling off for much of the day. I was irritable, and frustrated because I couldn’t slip out of my funk.

Until a friend came by. A little joking, a shared laugh, and it’s much easier to get to work.

Sometimes we need an outside perspective to break us out of our funk. As people, we can fall into a rut we don’t see. One that keeps us down, and makes things harder than they need to be.

You have to open up in this world. I’m not saying you shouldn’t have secrets, I’m all for privacy. There still needs to be a way for you to release the frustration of day to day life. Whether it is a game, friends you share life with, or writing, you have to find help to shoulder the burden.

That’s why you need to cultivate as many honest and true friends as you can. The kind that’s not afraid to tell you the brutally honest truth. The kind you’re willing to accept it from.

I’ve worked with all kinds of people in this world. I’ve seen the poor person who has known nothing but struggle in their lives, and I’ve seen powerful people at the end of their lives. One thing they agree on, it’s the people in your life that make it special.

Cherish the wonderful people in your life, and seek out new friends. Be willing to make your own decisions about life, and the kind of company you keep.
