The Apps I Use To Edit My Audiobook

I finally finished chapter 1 of Urban Punk. Took much longer than I expected, but that’s because I was choosing images to include in the video. They were tough to come by. Pexels.com and Pixabay.com were instrumental for helping me get proper imagery. They’re not just great for book covers, but awesome for quality stock shots all for free ninety nine.

The Nikon Z 30 is my preferred camera for video content

My Nikon Z 30 is an amazing little camera. It works perfectly for the image I want to create for my videos. It also has a microphone jack for plugging in my Rode Wireless Go 2, giving me high quality sound without having to worry about cords being in the way. I can also plug the transmitter into my PC, and use microphone as a dedicated input for sound. Even if you choose not to record your audiobook as a video like I did, I still highly recommend the Rode Wireless Go 2 microphones for recording yourself.

VLLO is a great reasonably priced video editor for Android phones

Again, I am using a video editing app to edit my audio/video. VLLO is simple, easy, and intuitive to use for simple clipping and cutting of videos. Spend a little money on the app and you get access to a ton of features to help perfect your video. If you are focusing on audio, you can use a program like Lexis Audio Editor or Wavepad Audio Editor that are designed specifically for audio.

Video to Mp3 converter is great for ripping audio from your videos

Video To Mp3 Converter is another simple, easy to use application that is free. It does exactly what the name suggests and rips the audio from your videos, leaving you with a high quality sound file to upload and edit.

The last application I use is a free web app from Adobe. Adobe Podcast makes it simple to get great quality sound from my original audio. It took tinny, hollow sounding audio and made it sound rich and full, all with a couple clicks of a button. And that’s how I edited the video above, and the programs I’ll use to help me convert it to an audiobook.

Cruisin’ through books cause books make life worth living with Aly returns!

Hey guys! Long time no see! The good news is I finally have free time! Yay! That means I’ve been hard at work, finishing editing books, so I can release new ones. It also means that soon I’ll be starting my personal write everyday challenge, so keep an eye out for that!

Anyways, we’re going to try something a little different with Aly’s reviews. I’d love feedback on the format from you guys, so feel free to drop a comment below! Without further ado, I give you the reviews! (Aly actually posts these reviews on her own site before I get them. If you want to see them hot off the press, stop by her website, I know she would love it!)

Alchemy by Alison Gardiner

I felt this was a good book.  The magical island of Eridor was an exciting new world for me.  I loved the characters and the story as well.  I think kids and adults alike will enjoy this story.  * I received a free copy of this book and this is my honest review*  5/5 Stars

Rebel Rising by Amanda J. Clay

Finally the next book in this series!  I enjoyed the first book and was waiting (well maybe not too patiently) for the next in the series.  It was worth the wait!  This book has lots of great moments for me in it and I was back in the action and excitement.  I can’t wait for the next book!  * I received this book free and this is my honest review*  5/5 Stars

The Inherited Series by Lily Burlington

Who does want to marry a prince?  I enjoyed this book very much from a normal every day girl to marrying a prince is like a few movies I have heard of but a great book!  I loved it!  * I received this book free and this is my honest review*  5/5 Stars

Girl of Glass by Megan O’Russell

I really enjoy Megan’s books!  This book was great.  Living in a dome would be something I could not imagine but with the help of Megan I could see it in my mind.  This book was exciting and the characters were believable for me.  I was drawn into this world and loved it all.  * I received this book free and this is my honest review*  5/5 Stars

Why Can’t My Life Be a Romance Novel by Melinda R. Cordell

A cute short read.  I remember my first crush.  This book was very sweet and a good quick read for me.   It bring back memories of me trying to get the “right” guy to like me in high school and it never worked out for me.   But you get older and taste in men sometime change.  * I received is book free and this is my honest review*  3/5 Stars

Deep Dark Secrets by Sarra Cannon

What is a Spiritwalker?   This book made me ask this question is the beginning and I am still wondering.  The book is very good and I really like this author.  I can’t wait to read the next book, but I hope the next few books in the series help me understand what a Spiritwalker is better.  The author touched on this a little bit in this book but we learned who Marayah and Jordan were and I enjoyed that about this book but now I hope the author will delve into Spiritwalker legacy in the next books more, I feel I want to know more.  But this book was very exciting and I found myself not wanting to put this book down.  This was another great book from Sarra.    5/5 Stars

Daughter of Darkness by Raye Wagner

This book was short only 90 pages but great!  I have to be honest at first I was a little unsure of the book.  I love the cover it caught my eye but it was great!  Dahlia’s mother is Eris.  Yes, a demigod story but this one is different than what I have read before.   I like Hercules and Wonder Women but I didn’t expect to meet Dahlia and her new friends.  Dahlia has a hard life at first but she finds a few people she can care about.  You should take a look at this book it won’t take you long to fall in love with a new author!  At least this author was new for me.  5/5 Stars

Still tryingto help indie authors. #SupportIndieAuthors #BookwormsUnite

Hey guys, I know it’s been awhile since I posted, a ton of life happening so fast right now. Anyways, even with the busy life, I’m still all about that indie life.

So when a friend wrote me, asking if I could place a post for her, and one that will help indie authors, I had to make time to post. Without further ado, I’ll let Christina take over from here.

Hello there! Are you a fan of free books? Do you subscribe to all the big name newsletters to fuel your reading habit? You do? Great! As an indie author who uses those services to spread the word, I can’t thank you enough. But you know, those newsletters are pretty strict and don’t take every book that comes along, which means there are a lot of indie gems that you might miss.
Which is why I’ve created Bookworms Discover. We’re not a daily feed. We’re a new, once a month free book site that will focus on finding the best books you’ve never read. Beginning in January of 2018, we will post up to 30 free books on the first Thursday of every month. Yep, I know, that’s a few months away, but we’ve got some other events we’ll be promoting, and right now we’ve got a contest to name our mascot!
If this sounds interesting, click on the link below and check out our “For Readers” page for a detailed explanation of what we’re all about. While you’re there, we’d love for you to subscribe, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Thanks for reading!

The King’s Peace by Kevin Hammond

This book reminds me a little of a PC game I used to play called “King’s Quest”.  It had swords and sorcery and more.  There is, of course, good and evil in the book, what story is not complete with some form of this? This story is much different from the game but I enjoyed it just as much if not more.  I was on this good thief’s side through out the book.  This story grabbed a hold of me from the beginning and kept me reading more.  * I received this book from author—this is my honest review*  5/5

Her Name is Grace by Shidorr Myrick-Gayer

I was very excited about this book when I got it.  But I was disappointed in this one.  This book lost me about half way through the book.  The beginning of the book was hard for me to get into and I just wished for more from this book.  I think the author had some good ideas in this story but this book was kind of a mess for me. 3/5

Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil

I enjoyed this book very much.  I wanted to guess who I thought took Aiden but my guess was wrong.  I wanted to help Emma through out this book and I felt for her situation.  I am not sure if I could live through what she has.  The book was very exciting to me and I think this is a new author for me.  So, I will try more books from this author again.   I wonderfully engaging book for me!  5/5

Reaper’s Claim by Simone Elise

I don’t find too many books about reaper’s so when I do I can’t wait to read them.  This book’s characters twin sisters who are very much opposite of each other is good. One sister is an artist and one sister  a party animal.    This book did remind of the old TV show “Sister, Sister” a little bit.  I think the characters were likeable to me and I think the story is great for a young adult audience.   I enjoyed the book.  * I received this book from the author—this is my honest review* 4/5

Infinity’s Doorway by David Wind

Aaron is obsessed with finding a strange woman  after a bad car accident. This book had alternate worlds and the other side.  In a way it reminds me of Grimm the TV show lately.  They are exploring this too in the show this season. I am a little unconvinced about the romance story in the book and since I listened to this book as an audio book I would say I wish the narrator sued his pitch a little more with his voice.  I like the characters to all sounds different, they sounds a little different if I really listened but not very much.   “This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.”    3/5

Spectra by Ebony Olson

Lies, intrigue, and characters full of mystery and suspense.  This book was is a paranormal romance and I do like these type of books.  This book was just as exciting and full of magic and sex.  This book was full of many things.  I did want more at the end.  * I received this book from the author—this is my honest review*  4/5
